Mr. Koga Katsumi, Director for International Exchange Center of the Japanese Sea, Visited Our School

On April 22nd Mr. Koga Katsumi, director forInternational Exchange Center of the Japanese Sea, the honorary citizen ofDalian, paid a friendly visit to the university. Our university’s principal, Mr.Wen Tao, warmly received Mr. Koga Katsumi in person, in the company ofthe relevant persons in charge of the College of International Education. Afterthat, Mr. Koga Katsumi visited the Department of Japanese and talked cordially withmany teachers of the Japanese department.

On behalf of the Department of Japanese, Professor CuiXianglan, the consultant for the construction of the Japanese major extended awarm welcome to Mr. Koga Katsumi’s visit, made a brief introduction to featuresin the specialty construction and changes in the development of the Departmentof Japanese, and expressed a hope that Mr. Koga Katsumi would recommend moresister schools or institutions to carry out in-depth academic exchange with ourschool. The teachers who participated in the Summer Project of Overseas Studiesin Kanazawa expressed sincere thanks to Mr. Koga Katsumi. Both parties held adetailed discussion about the future overseas training for teachers.

It takes ten years to grow a tree and a hundred years tobring up a generation of good men. For ages, Mr. Koga Katsumi had beencommitted to the promotion of communication and cooperation between Kanazawa ofJapan and Dalian of China in many aspects like education, culture and economywith outstanding achievement. Our university would take this opportunity tofurther promote the overseas studies and the cooperation and communication forprofessional teachers, to reach a new height for the development ofinternationalization in our university.
