Nineteenprovincial-level connotation-building projects of 2016 proposed by DNUI wereapproved for implementation by a document issued by Department of Education ofLiaoning Province(Notice on the Initiation of the Construction Work ofConnotation Development of Higher Education of 2016 for Transformation, Innovation and Entrepreneurship). One teacherfrom DNUI was awarded with the title of Provincial-Level FamousTeacher by the document from the same authorities (Notice on the Results of the 12th Selectionof Famous University Teachers of Liaoning Province).

Among the approvedprojects there was one incubation base for university students’entrepreneurship projects, one pilot major program for innovation andentrepreneurship education and 15 projects for reform researches on teachingand education. In addition, Prof. Teng Yingyan was awarded with the title AFamous Teacher for Class Teaching of 2016, the 12th selection.

With ourstepped up efforts to build a “distinctive, high-quality andapplication-oriented” university, we have been increasingly recognized by othereducational institutions in the same field and society as a whole for thereform and construction of the programs, courses, incubation base forentrepreneurship projects, practical training base for university students.Notably, 100% of the projects filed to the provincial authorities have beenapproved so far this year.
