Spring, was a piece of canvas painted with colors oflife, and it was also a gallery showing the miracles of life. On the afternoonof March 23rd, with the smell of spring, we welcomed the 1st show ofAlumni Association of DNUI titled “Weare the same, and we are not legends.” Alumni Association was one of a seriesof innovation and entrepreneurial activities of DNUI, including Bossway to show the elites’entrepreneurial spirit, and Alumni Associationto show our school’s outstanding graduates’ great performance, Entrepreneurial Role Models to sharetheir talents, Makers’ Space totransmit the culture that nothing was impossible, and Project of WeRoadShow to show the glimpse of DNUI students on theway of starting a business.
On that day, in the lecture room of A1-306,all seats were occupied. The students were eagerly expecting the start of thelecture which would be delivered by their school sister, Jin Qi, to share herway of starting a business. Jin Qi was the graduate of 2006 majoring inComputer Multimedia Technology, and now she is the CEO of the 9. The company islocated in Shanghai, and is an Educational and Technology Limited company. Onthe February 29th, 2016, the company of the 9 was successfully onthe list on the new third board (an over-the-counter market for growth enterprises)and became the first listed company on animation education.
When she just entered the college, Jin Qi began to do part-time jobs to make someearnings. The earlier entering to the society made her more mature than herclassmates of the same age. She used to work for the TV program of Happy Families，working as the producer assistant for Tsanghao Ditital Technology Ltd.,the largest Animation company in Dalian. Then she went to Wuxi to work in WuxiBroadcasting & TV Group. More than ten years’ working experiences from thenorth to south built Jin Qi’s strong qualities combining both the natureadvantages of the north and the south. During the period, the complexsurroundings enabled Jin Qi to learn to think and precipitate and consequently,she progressed at an amazing speed. She said such experiences made her understand:“each step of life is just a start, and nowadays, what matters is not what astart you own, but the awareness that the fluctuated processes are necessarysteps on the way of success and we need to learn to think and precipitate undersuitable occasions.”
When working, a person’s comprehensivequalities are quite essential, such as your communicative ability. A companywas just like a minor society and work had to be completed with the cooperationof a team. So if a person was poor in communications, his direct manager wouldconsider it taking too much time and energy to communicate with him, which wasa waste of company cost. Before we entered the society, we needed to have aserious plan for the career development and career plan was just like to playgames: You needed to know the rules including on both society and business; youneeded to position yourself; you needed to equip for your role; you needed tobe ready to be attacked by others, and you needed to make a full preparation tomake your dream come true. Finally, Jin Qi concluded her speech with a sentence:“Growth has to go with the experience of pain and wish all of you could flywith your dreams.”
At last, the lecture was concluded with theapplause of students. The innovation and entrepreneurial series activitieswere held by innovation and entrepreneurial school. It attracted alarge number of students to participate by widespread advertisement andreal-name attendance checking. In this semester, it would also organize asurvey to get to know students’ ideas through questionnaires, and tried tosatisfy students’ needs.
