President Wen Tao Invited to Attend the 2nd Forum (Autumn) of Fusion of Industry and Education and Make the Theme Speech at the Main Forum

On November 25, 2015, jointlyorganized by the Ministry of Education, China’s School Planning andConstruction Development Center, China’s International Education ExchangeAssociation, China’s Alliance of Universities (Colleges) of Applied Technology,Suzhou Municipal People's Government, and Changshu Institute of Technology,Changshu City People's Government and other relevant units, the 2ndInternational Forum (Autumn) of Development Strategies for Fusion of Industryand Education was held in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province, with nearly 600participants of experts and scholars from more than 200 national universities,enterprises and research institutes in Germany, the United States, theNetherlands, Singapore, Taiwan and other countries and regions. DNUI presidentWen Tao attended the forum as a special guest, and delivered the theme reportentitled "the Reform for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education in theInternet Plus Era" on the main forum.

PresidentWen Tao pointed out: China's economic and social status has developed into the"new normal"; the "Internet +" situation has changed ourways of production, work, and life style, which ushered in theinnovation-driven "new normal" development. The cross-border integrationof industry innovation will fundamentally affect the talent cultivation inuniversities. Future economic and industrial development needs moreinternational, complex, high-quality professional and technical personnel, andinnovative entrepreneurial talents for modern services. In the face of theneeds of special talents for economic and industrial development, President WenTao shared Dalian Neusoft Institute of Technology’s understanding and practiceof innovation and entrepreneurship education. Our school principal, PresidentWen, mentioned that education of innovation and entrepreneurship should beoriented to all students, fully integrated with professional education, and laya solid foundation of quality education for our students’ lifelong sustainabledevelopment, focused on implanting education of innovation and entrepreneurshipinto the entire process of personnel training, should cultivate students'innovative and entrepreneurial thinking, consciousness, spirit and ability, andshould guide students to create value and develop personality as internal needsand conscious action. Wen Tao, our president, introduced the practice of DalianNeusoft University of Information and exploration in innovative talentstraining system. He noted: based on the three key phrases of "innovationand entrepreneurship, the integration of industry with teaching,internationalization", Dalian Neusoft University ofInformation givespriority to the training of innovative entrepreneurial talents, combines thecorresponding industry needs for professionals, draws on the American contentstandards for entrepreneurship education, amends TOPCARES-CDIO ability indexsystem and breaks it down into levels in the curriculum system to be mapped tospecific courses, projects, activities, innovative and entrepreneurialpractice, integrates social resources with a more open field of vision,enhances the capacity and quality of the school with continued reform andinnovation, and with the adoption of distinctive high-level constructionentrepreneurial university of applied sciences to realize the not-so-greatdream -- to enable students to have jobs, to provide students with high-qualitywork so that students can help his classmates to get employed and to transformthe campus into an incubator for innovative entrepreneurs. President Wen Tao’stheme speech and the unique innovation and entrepreneurship training model ofDalian Neusoft University of Information have been unanimously well-received bythe participating experts.
