With the night lit up by brightlights and gorgeous fireworks, the campus of DNUI looked extremely attractive.On the evening of September 26th, the themed Welcome Party “Set Sail for YourDreams - 2015” began as the magnificent opening dance Inspiration was performed with full passion. The Welcome Party wasattended by Chairman and CEO of Neusoft Co., Ltd Liu Jiren, DNUI President WenTao and Vice-President Guo Quan, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee Ren Haoand the faculty members and students from each department as well. It alsowitnessed the presence of President Kim Georgy Nikolaevich from Far EasternState Technical Fishery University in Russia and the delegation of CenturyLinkCo., Ltd in America, including Mr. Ross Garrity the Chairman, Mr. DavidMeredith, Senior Vice-President and Global General Manager and Mr. JimKozlowski, Vice-President of CenturyLink China.

Chairman Liu Jiren gave a specialspeech before the opening, “I think the rightest choices you have made are thefuture, the entrepreneurship which helps to improve yourselves and the modernage. In this age of digitalization and the Internet, your choices are inconsistence with your own interests and dreams. So, take this day as a newstart for your dreams! Here, I would like to extend my heartfelt wish that withyour vision of dreams, with the great hope and high expectations from yourfamily and the society, every one of you can create a dream belonging toyourselves as well as a bright future!” 

“College & Dream”, “Gratitude& Independence” and “Growing up & Flying” composed the three chaptersof the Welcome Party. Lasting for two and a half hours, the performanceembraced a variety of art forms, such as folk dance and modern dance, poetryrecitation, chorus, magic tricks, martial arts, B-box, Cosplay and so on, whichpresented a spectacular visual-audio feast to DNUI faculty members andstudents.

This year’s Welcome Party wasextraordinarily brilliant in that a unique interaction part was introduced forthe first time. Many freshmen picked up the microphone and shared theirfeelings of setting foot in DNUI. InnerVoices, a video based on the college life of freshmen, was a record oftheir gratitude for parents, of the parents’ unwillingness to be separated fromtheir children and their expectations as well. Many freshmen were so touched bythese scenes that tears rolled down their cheeks. The Military Training, another imposing video, showed the energeticand high-spirited outlook of freshmen. In addition, DNUI graduaterepresentatives who had started their own businesses such as Liu Jun, LiZhenning and Tang Min extended their sincere wishes to both freshmen andteachers.    

The year of 2015 marks the 15thanniversary of DNUI. Thus, tutors of freshmen, together with the College ModernDrama Troupe, gave their first stage show: an emotional poem recitation named Growing up with DNUI, in which the line“A New Fifteen-Year, A New Starting Point” was the best embodiment of teachersand students’ wishes to the future of DNUI.

What colorful dreams on the stage of youth! TheWelcome Party concluded with a chorus of DNUI anthem. This band-new startingpoint will lead freshmen to a wonderful dream-pursuing trip in collegelife.
