On May 16, the third annual academic convention of mental health education and research of colleges of Liaoning Province was held in Liaoning Normal University. At the meeting, Northeastern University Neusoft Institute of Information was appraised as "Advanced Unit of Mental Health Education of Liaoning Province". Twenty-one colleges of the province won this honor. Wu Guiqin, Director of the Psychological Counseling Center, was awarded "advanced individual of mental health education in colleges of Liaoning Province of 2004-2006". Mental health education is a work for everyone, and is mutually promoted with ideological education, campus culture, and students’ routine management. With the strong support of leaders and staff, the psychological counseling work in our school has achieved good results. Since its establishment, Psychological Counseling Center has launched diverse forms of psychological health education activities, gradually enhanced the psychological quality of students, and promoted the healthy development of personality, making our mental health education step onto a new level.
