DB2 teachers’ training class opened

On the morning of April 4, the opening ceremony of DB2 teachers’ training class was unveiled at lecture room A2-113. Twenty-four teachers from Department of Computer Science and Technology (DCST) would attend this 6-day DB2 course. Present at the meeting were Professor Qi Zhiru, Institute consultant and Dean of DCST, Zhou Sanbao, Senior Engineer of IBM Software Department, and related teachers from Branding and Strategic Development Department.
Professor Qi Zhiru delivered a speech and extended his welcome to the holding of DB2 teachers’ training class. He said that the training could be processed as scheduled, thanks to a few rounds of negotiation and communication among Branding and Strategic Development Department, DCST and IBM. During the course, IBM would bring the latest platform and technology to our institute. He showed his thanks for the support of IBM. Meanwhile, he added that the trainees gave up their Tomb Sweeping holiday to attend the training and their spirit was worth admiring. He hoped the teachers could master the related knowledge and skills efficiently by constant learning and practices. At last, Professor Qi wished the training course a success.
It is learned that this training course symbolized the official start of the cooperation between the institute and enterprises. By this time, Neusoft Institute had carried out plenty of cooperation with enterprises, including strengthening the cooperation and communication on technology and talent training between the two sides, accelerating the wide spread of IBM technology in universities and colleges of China, increasing the influence of IBM technology on market, preparing related technical talents for IBM and other enterprises, and raising the quality of talent training. The successful opening of DB2 teachers’ training class played a positive and model role for the sequent institute-enterprise projects. This cooperation would be bound to promote the development of field training of our institute, improve the quality of talent training, and help students build core competence and improve quality of employment.
