On March 3rd, 2009, China "Russian Year" series of activities were held in Dalian Fisheries College. The "Russian Year"activities advocated by the leaders of the two countries, meant to use the carrier of culture - the spreading of Russian and Chinese between the two countries ,in China and Russia, to  deepen the educational and cultural exchanges, and to lay a solid foundation of the civil basis of the Sino-Russian friendship. Secretary of the Party Committee in our institute Mr. Che Ruwen, at the invitation of Russian Consul-General in Shenyang Baberezk .C . N .and Kim. G. N,President of Russia Far Eastern State Technology Fisheries University , attended the event, and made a speech.

China and Russia, as the world’s most influential countries in the world, have a long and traditional friendship in politics, economy, culture and  education. AS to bilateral cooperation in education, Secretary Che pointed out that the educational exchanges and cooperations between China and Russia through more than half a century,is now entering a mature phase, and has gained a new life. The cooperations for so many years between the two countries have provided a powerful driving force for the two countries’ educational course. As the two governments attach great importance to accelerate the cooperation in higher education between the two sides, which has provided a rare opportunity for the development of both countries’ high schools’ cooperations and exchanges. Nowadays, the higher education is highly developing, many high schools have made it one of their goals to cultivate the students with an international perspective, knowledge and capacity of international cultural communication. The promoting of high schools cooperation, especially the exchanges between international colleges and universities, is of great significance to push educational innovation and strengthen the friendship between two peoples.

Russian Consul-General in Shenyang Baberezk said, education has always been an important part of the cooperation and exchange between our two countries.In the new historical period, our educational exchanges and development will be further developed. For example, Russia will hold “Russian Year”in China this year, the Chinese year will be held in Russia the following year. Youths represent the future, we will firther exchanges and cooperations in education ,which will have a very far-reaching consequences to strengthen the friendship between the two peoples. In addition, some students leaders in the University Student Art Group organized by the Communist Youth League in our institute attended the event. At the opening ceremony, they dedicated wonderful performance, which won thunderous applauses from the Chinese and foreign guests. It not only reflected the good mental outlook, at the same time, by participating the activities, the performance also enhanced the friendship among students from both home and abroad.
