At 3:30, on 23rd, March in 2009, on the invitation of Department of Information Technology and Business Administration, Wang dingwei, the professor of the first grade and the tutor of doctor gave us a lecture on “the Study on Auction and the Online （Internet）Auction” in A2 309---Reporting Room. Pro. Chao yunfeng, Vice-president of NII, students and staff from Department of Information Technology and Business Administration, and PhD Students form Dalian university of Technology attended the meeting, which was hosted by Pro. Sun fuquan, Director of Department of Information Technology and Business Administration.Pro. Wang has published more than 340 papers in which 62 pieces can be searched by SCI. He won the second Scientific Development Award from the State Educational Committee (A-class) twice as the first winner and second prize of the provincial level once.Pro Wang made a huge amount of meaningful research work on the model algorithm of online auction in recent years.He analysised and explained the technology of auction in detail from his current research in his report, which had great originality and covered the frontier of research and hottest contents in the field of E-Business.The main content was the basic theories on Nash Balanced Auction, including the categories and major types of auction; business process in online auction; security mechanism and support technology; design and development of experimental auction website.Meanwhile, Pro Wang communicated with everyone on the future study and key solution of E-Business Auction and answered the questions given by students and teachers. This academic conference, praised by the staff and students, played an essential role in advancing teachers’ academic level and broadening students’ minds. At the end of the report, Pro Wang was received the enthusiastic applause and appreciated by everyone with the honest feelings because of his academic cultivation.
