On the morning of June 19th, Graduation Ceremony of Neusoft Institute of Information, Dalian Neusoft Vocational Institute of Information Technology of 2008 was held at A5-602, the Reporting Hall. Over 3000 students said goodbye to the splendid college life, and were going to the new working and studying position, and started their brand new life. Professor Zhang Wei and Cao Yunfeng, Vice-President of school; Ren Hao, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee, Zhai Jifang and Liu Chunyu, President’s assistants, CFO Liu Yunxia, and directors of each department attended the ceremony. Besides, Li Baozhang, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of Dalian University of Foreign Languages (DUFL) was invited to attend the ceremony. This year, students, who have been jointly cultivated by NII and DUFL would graduate and work in the society. The ceremony was held by Ren Hao, Deputy Secretary of the School Party committee. In the national anthem, everyone stood up and here began the ceremony. Cao Yunfeng, Vice President of school announced the name list of graduate of Neusoft and joint-educated and the name list of excellent graduates of province, city, and school. School leaders present at the ceremony awarded certificates to students’ representatives. In all, there were 60 students won the title of provincial excellent graduate, 67 students won the title of city excellent graduate, and 102 won the title of school excellent graduates. Afterwards, Chen Jiaqiang, who was going to work for HP Company, on behalf of all the graduates expressed the appreciation to school leaders and teachers for their hard work, and expressed the determination to keep teachers instructions in mind, to make persistent efforts in the future to gain more success, to repay school and society. His impassioned and sincere speech gained applause. Dr, Dong Wei, Vice Director of Department of Computer Science and Technology expressed the wishes and confidence to the graduates’ future, and suggested every student to create value for the society.  At the ceremony, Vice President, Zhang Wei, made a speech. On behalf of the authority, he expressed congratulations to all the students on their accomplishment of study, and appreciated the hard working teachers. He announced five wishes: first, to learn to be a decent person; second, to be a patriotic, and wish every graduate could devote to the development of China; third, to study continuously and perfect themselves; fourth, learn to be strong, never give up even though facing failures; fifth, to do exercises regularly and strengthen the bodies. Graduates of the year 2008 donated a special souvenir spontaneously, a copper maiden statue, to their alma mater, which moved all the teachers and students. They expressed their great blessing to the college. After the graduation ceremony, leaders and representatives of students came to the campus square participating in the “2008 Graduation Memory” opening ceremony of the sculpture. Deputy Secretary, Li Baozhang, from Dalian University of Foreign Languages, together with Zhang Wei, Vice-President of Neusoft Institute of Information, unveiled the statue: a sweet girl is studying with her laptop carefully. She is the epitome of all the passionate, diligent and studious students in Neusoft, which symbolizes the great success to be created by all the teachers and students in the later future. Finally, the leaders and representatives of students took pictures at the gate of the college.
