The signing ceremony of Educational Cooperation between DSU and Dalian NII was grandly held at Meeting Room A9-217 in the morning of April 24. The Agreement of Cooperation was exchanged between Vice-President of Dalian NII, Prof.Zhang Wei and Vice-President of DSU, Mr.Hal Haynes. The other attendances are Mr.Roger Kilwein, Dean of Business Department of DSU, Ms. Jiang Yu, Director of DSU China Center, Ms.Yang Lu, International Exchange and Cooperation Center of Dalian NII, Mr. Sun Fuquan, Dean of Department of Information Technology and Business Administration, Dalain NII and Mr. Liu Wentao, Dean of English Department, Dalian NII. After the ceremony, accompanied by Vice-President of Dalain NII, Mr. Zhang Wei, Vice-President of DSU, Mr.Haynes and his followers visited our campus.

    Founded in 1916, Dickinson State University is located in Dickinson, Datoka, mid-north of US, which is the one of 11 state universities of north Datoka. DSU has been certified by North Central Association(NCA), which is the one of 6 US universities in authority, Nursing Committee of International Union, Authorized Committee for Teacher Cultivation of National Assembly, to name but a few. There are 10 departments in DSU, including Mathematics and Computer Science, Business and Management, Natural Sciences, Teacher Education, Agriculture and Technical Studies, Social Sciences, Fine & Performing Arts, Language and Literature, Nursing, Health and Physical Education, and 49 majors offer 4-year programs. The well-known majors are Business and Management, Computer Science, Teacher Education, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Nursing, Agriculture, English, Music, Fine Arts and University Studies, and so on. According to the agreements, two parties will carry out Sino-US dual degrees program. “2＋1＋1 program” means that the students will finish their first 2 year Chinese study, then continue their 3rd year study in DSU, and finally, return to the institute for their 4th year study. When they graduate, they will obtain University Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree issued by Dalian DII as well as the Bachelor’s Degree by DSU. The selected students will be brought into “Global Awareness Scholarship” program and gain corresponding amount of scholarships.     Followed by University of Georgia and Montclair State University, DSU is the 3rd US university cooperated with our institute. The signing of the cooperation agreement attaches great significance to further promote the international cooperation and communication with US, and the educational cooperation with US universities.
