On the afternoon of June 13th,2009, Liaoning provincial vice governor, Chen Chaoying, made an inspection trip to our institute, accompanied by a number of leaders such as Zhu Chengqing, Dalian Vice Mayor; Yu Jianjun, deputy Secretary-General and Luo Dongsheng, Dalian Educational Bureau director.

 President Wen Tao gave an overview picture of our institute and introduced our general development, process, concept and orientation of running university, education and teaching situation and especially made a detailed explanation on our educational features. Vice-Governor Chen thought highly of our work and especially when President Wen mentioned our institute had initiated setting up SOVO, a university-student business startup virtual company, he showed great interest and enquired the detailed information about it and appraised: “This is good and it has characteristics.”

  At the end of inspection, Vice-Governor Chen said affectionately that Software industry was a “mental” industry which could not be performed without people and consequently people were the vital element to decide its development. We could not follow the others and Dalian Neusoft Institute of Information had characteristics in education and played an important role in talents cultivation. He said: “Liaoning province is advanced in manufacturing industry and we are short of high-tech industries and we need to enhance its leading position throughout the nation.” “IT industry is a leading edge industry and we are proud of the development of Dalian IT industry.” He also encouraged us that because our institute was located in the heart of Dalian Software Park and as a head university of talents cultivation we must run the school well. President Wen then introduced our new development objective after transformation: to build a high level IT applied institute with characteristics. Vice-Governor Chen agreed this point and said he still had some further understanding and would like to discuss in the future.     Vice-Governor Chen’s affirmation to our institute greatly strengthened our confidence to realize our planned target and we believe Neusoft will walk faster and further on the way of education.
