Definite the social needs, Cultivate the ERP talent

Competitive advantages of modern enterprises depend on their informationization degree, while the extreme shortage of informationization talents has seriously hampered the enterprises’ informationization process and become an obstacle in improving our international market competition. It is reported that the number of qualified ERP implement consultant is so small that it is only a drop in the bucket to the numerous domestic enterprises. There  existing the problems such as emphasizing technology while despising managing trend, as well as the institutional, historical and other issues in the construction of informationization and ERP, Pro.Sun Fuquan, head of Department of IT and Business Administration, together with the teachers like Chen Tingbin, Qin Yan, Wang Xiaoyu and Deng Shan, summarized up many years’ educational experiences, achieved the project result "The innovation and practice of school-enterprise cooperation mode  cultivating applied talent in enterprises Informationazation ERP", which was based on the social needs, reinforcing the basis of administration-orientation , the use of technology and the cultivating of inter-disciplinary ERP talents who know both computer technology and operating management. They were awarded the second prize in the sixth Liaoning Provincial Vocational Education Outcome Selection Contest. This outcome is closely related to the teaching goal of the department. The five teachers made the teaching goal more targeted on the purpose of cultivating social talents and proved vigorously the success of furthering educational practice reforming by achieving the honor. "But it is a great challenge to apply and practice it in the future teaching", said vice-head of the department Mr. Chen Tingbin after the excitement. This educational outcome inherited the essence, made up the deficiency, met with the social needs, combined students’ goal with the current employment status and enabled the students to use what they learned. Mr. Chen said, "A lot of accumulation was made in the prophase. Besides the necessary exchanges between enterprises and students, we excavated many things deep-seated and the value was improved essentially. Teachers discussed theories, summarized up experiences and further refined the theory to a deeper extent. Referring to team, Mr. Chen said, "A beautiful vision is the basis of building a team, a clear target is the basis of a team success, and solidarity and cooperation is the key of a team. Through participating in this team achievement exhibition, I found a sense of responsibility, which I have never realized in my university life. It is an inevitable responsibility, which was not strong in my university life. After I stepped into the society and worked here, the sense of responsibility for team became stronger and most of the time I consider more for the team rather than for myself." Mr. Chen was very satisfied with this result and prepared to apply it into practical teaching activities. At the end of the interview, Mr. Chen told the student that they should not spend university life without participating group activities, and he encouraged the undergraduates to participate in various group activities and accumulate social experience. At the same time, the students should learn communicating skills, how to resist stress, how to blend into enterprise quickly and how to improve one’s ability in the team cooperation.
