Alps Scholarship Award Ceremony was Held

In October, Neusoft campus was full of passion and vitality. On October 21, 2007~2008 ALPS scholarship award ceremony of Neusoft Institute of Information and Dalian Neusoft Vocational Institute of Information Technology was held in the lecture hall, room 602 library. Mr. Shozo Shirai, General Manager of ALPS Electronics (China) Co., Ltd., Mr. Hiroshi Fukiyama, General Manager of ALPS Electronics (Dalian) Co., Ltd., Prof. Wen Tao, President of Neusoft II and Party Secretary of Neusoft II; Prof. Cao Yunfeng, Vice President of Neusoft II; Ren Hao, Party Vice Secretary of Neusoft II, leaders in charge of relevant departments, Party Secretary of each department and the representatives of award-winning students and excellent students attended the ceremony.  Ren Hao, Party Vice Secretary of Neusoft II hosted the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Cao Yunfeng, Vice President of Neusoft II, read out Decision of Awarding School Year 2008-2009 ALPS scholarship. Then Mr. Shozo and Prof. Wen presented the awards and took pictures with the award winners. Along with the exciting awarding music, award-winners accepted the certificates. This moment will be engraved into their memory forever. Yu Zhidian, representative of the award-winners, who had continued winning the scholarship for four years, expressed his feeling at the moment. At the time of going to finish their study and enter the society, looking back their lives on campus, Yu Zhidian expressed their gratitude for the school’s education and the fund of ALPS Electronics (China) Co., Ltd, he called on the students to work and practise hard so as to become the award winners.

In warm applause, Mr. Shirai gave a speech, he congratulated the award-winning students from the bottom of his heart and hoped the friendly industry-education interaction can go on for a long time and more excellent students from Neusoft II will work at ALPS Electronics (China) Co., Ltd.

At last, Prof. Wen gave a speech in which he informed us about good news that approved by Ministry of Education, Neusoft II had officially become an independent private regular undergraduate school--Dalian Neusoft Institute of Information. This was the milestone of our school’s history, it showed the acknowledgement and support for our creative IT education from state education authorities and the society. Prof. Wen hoped that the award winners would value the honor and work harder in order to become excellent and make greater contribution to the society. He also expected that the cooperation with Alps Electronics (China) Co. could promote the innovation and prosperity and bring new energy to the development of IT industry.

The ALPS Scholarship was the first enterprising award established in our institute by a multi-national corporation, which obtained a profound significance during the institute’s growth. The scholarship encouraged Neusoft’s students to study actively and diligently, for them it has already been a common honor. Since 2002, the Alps Group set the scholarship in Neusoft, the number of students who won the scholarship has added up to 140, and most of them entered ALPS, HP, Accenture, Dell, BearingPoint, Genpact and other world-renowned companies; 66 of our graduates have been working in ALPS; with the aid of ALPS Group, we had sent seven students to go to Japan for internship; in addition, the bilateral parties established customized class via building car audio embedded system lab, and even organized new staff to communicate with our students to deepen friendship.
