Since the signing of the memorandum entitled “Enterprise-College Alliance, Innovative Vocational Education” in April 2008, our college and Intel have carried out a lot of rewarding cooperation. On the first anniversary of the memorandum and the time when the office building of Intel Dalian Base came into service, Intel Corporation hold “Intel’s Exchanging Day with Cooperative Universities”  on April 24, 2009, to enhance the communication and cooperation with universities. Prof. Liu Chunyu, President Assistant, Prof. Sun Xiaoling, Dean of Department of Embedded System Engineering and Mr. Zhang Yi, Deputy Dean of English Department also attended the meeting.     At the meeting, Kirby. Jefferson, Managing Director of Intel Corporation Dalian made the speech of welcome, acknowledging the great efforts the four colleges have made. He also expressed hope to strengthen the communication and cooperation and to explore the scientific mechanism of intellectual fostering so as to realize Enterprise-College Cooperation and Co-Prosperity. Dalian Vocational & Technical College, Shenyang Vocational & Technical College, Dalian Neusoft Institute of Information and Vocational & Technical College of Dalian Industry University respectively made a summary of their Cooperation Project with Intel over the past years. Prof. Sun Xiaoling, Dean of Department of Embedded System Engineering exchanged with the delegates the experience of our institute in program adjustment and implementation, English teaching and teaching staff training.     After the meeting, on behalf of Intel Corporation, Mr. Zhang Zhongmin, Training Director of Intel Corporation Dalian donated some equipment to the four colleges. Link: “Enterprise-College Alliance, Innovative Vocational Education”, launched by Intel Corporation, is an IT talents fostering memorandum of Enterprise-College Cooperation. It aims to gear IT education to the practical technology and the students’ practical ability in order to improve students’ comprehensive ability through the guidance of multi-national Hi-Tech enterprises. According to the memorandum, both Intel and the colleges will attach great importance to the demand for professional talents of semiconductor industry and make full use of the advantages by integrating the resources to push the development of semiconductor manufacturing in Dalian.
