First Neusoft Students Tomorrow Network Merchant’s Competition Rounded off

The Final and Award Ceremony of the First Neusoft Institute “Tomorrow Network Merchants” Competition—ICBC "Finance @ Home" Cup was held at the A2-309, March 18 afternoon. It was hosted by the Information Technology and Business Management Department and Institute’s Youth League Committee
Che Ruwen, secretary of institute’s communist party committee, Vice-President Cao Yunfeng and other cadres of the institute presented at the meeting. Jiang Xiaofang, vice president of Dalian Branch with ICBC and other guests were invited. Sun Fuqian, dean of Information Technology and Business Management Department, Mi Pingzhi, general secretary of Information Technology and Business Management Department’s Party Committee, and Lilin, secretary of Institute’s Youth League Committee were also presented.
The competition with the theme "Ability, Development and Dream" lasted for half a year. 28 teams underwent the contract negotiations with business entity in the preliminary stage, online shop construction and promotion, off line sales activities, and specialty items answering in the advanced stage, and ICBC mobile bank promotion programs report in the final stage. For competitors, this is not only to test their knowledge and skills, but also to develop their will and character.
Sun Duquan, dean of Information Technology and Business Management Department, made a lecture at the beginning of the competition. He said, “The competition is the first practical competition since the implementation of CDIO curriculum reform last year. It aims to provide students with more opportunities to make contact with the outside world and business, to help students to learn something they can’t learn in class and put the knowledge into practice.”
In the final competition, five teams, ANT, we do, Latitude, Fu Aite, and shine put forward their promotion plans about the ICBC mobile bank project. Fu Aite was the first team to showcase their plans. They resorted to our institute’s internet, made use of the Dr.com network client and major websites, utilized the frequently used mail box to do promotions. Latitude focused on security problems, they suggested soft-ware based mobile banking system, which adopted role-playing mode of classification with the software interface, so as to make mobile banks more humane, more secure, more convenient and efficient. We do subdivided the students into the freshmen group and the above freshman group according to their proportions of using mobile banks. We do focused on freshmen, provided fixed service classroom for freshmen, and made lectures to them during their night classes. Meanwhile, they offered preferential remittance and credit reward for students from other cities to transfer accounts and consume with mobile bank. ANT and shine also gave wonderful reports.
At last, Shine won the Tomorrow Network Merchant’s gold award, with silver award went to we do, bronze award went to Altitude, ANT and Fu Aite won the Best Internet Agent after program reporting, judgers’ questions answering.
After that, Secretary Che Ruwen made comments on the competition. He said, the competition was an audacious attempt with TOPCARES-CDIO educational reform conducted by E-commerce Specialty under the Information Technology and Business Management Department. The success of the competition was not only a good start to curriculum reform, but also a bridge between enterprises and students to promote mutual understandings. This attempt should be widen and deepen with social progress and industrial development. He also hoped that with more practical opportunities created by the institute, students should participate school activities actively, train themselves voluntarily. ICBC leaders also believed that institutes as well as enterprises shouldered the same social responsibility to explore the ways of cultivating e-business talents who meet the need of times. Furthermore, the two sides made a detailed discussion on the future cooperation model.
“Tomorrow Network Merchants” Competition is an audacious attempt to TOPCARES-CDIO education reform conducted by E-Business Sector of Information Technology and Business Management Department. With this competition, we have accumulated valuable experience, began to take a fresh look at multi-angle cooperation with different enterprises. In the process of school-enterprise cooperation, we find we share the same goal with enterprises to explore the ways of cultivating e-business talents who meet the need of times. In the future, we will remain committed to providing practical platform, scoop out the students’ potentials, and build a convenient channel for students to get a full knowledge of enterprises, so as to help students to go beyond themselves, put their knowledge into practice and grasp business opportunities.
