UGA-NII Program, the core of the University of Georgia’s Globalization and IT campaign in China, has been running fruitfully for 4 consecutive years since it inked a framework agreement with NII in 2006. Lasting for 2 weeks, the program features two professors heading a group of over 20 teachers and students lecturing on selective courses. NII picks out the same number of students to form partnerships with their American counterparts for all activities. Conducted both in class and after class, all the courses are given in typically American teaching methods and approaches, with seminars, presentations and reports being the nuclei. The joint program has furnished the American students with an opportunity to have an insight into China. Meantime, NII’s students have opened their minds by learning more about the American education and culture.
