Stride Forward on the Path to the Future with China’s Speed

The one-month-long pre-job training program for new recruits at Alpine, Japan, drew a successful conclusion at NII on June 4th. The management from both sides, NII and Alpine, spared no favorable comments on the joint effort. In an effort to achieve better results in training their newly recruited staff overseas, Alpine, Japan began to conducted talks with The International Education Department on matters concerned. Swiftly after coming to a train of agreements, the two parties kick-started the program, typically featuring the “China’s Speed”, which is already worldwide acknowledged. Involved in the training drive, which was organized and put to effect by the teaching staff of the SOVO in charge of the Department of IT & Business Administration, were 13 new employees from Alpine, Japan and their eight counterparts from Alpine, Dalian, all of whom were put into four groups. To guarantee the quality of their study and training, NII staffed each group with a teacher with rich theories and practical experience. On top of that, the group members worked with two students speaking good English and one from the Japanese Department so that the new Alpine recruits felt at home whether in study, technical training or everyday life. 12 students from NII were engaged in the training program, who developed and improved themselves in teamwork, cross-cultural communication, language ability and psychological quality, among other things. The program has contributed positively to long-term international cooperation and further advancement of the cooperative training programs of NII in addition to the creation of the atmosphere of internalization of the school. In the joint drive, the Department of IT & Business Administration, the International Education Department and the SOVO work as one to stage university-industry collaboration with Alpine, forging a brand-new pre-job training model for new recruits between NII and Alpine. This will undoubtedly function as a milestone for the development of international education of NII. More importantly, the sophisticated educational ideology of TOPCARES—CDIO was fully manifested in the cooperation.  

Wen Tao, president of NII, Mr. Maeda, chief of Personnel Affairs of the headquarters of Alpine, Japan and president of Alpine Information System Co., Ltd., delivered speeches at the wine party on June the 4th, agreeing that the joint program of study and training made a complete success. Based on the event, Alpine and NII would conduct closer cooperation. The two parties both wished for a long-lasting friendship between NII and Alpine. (The International Education Department)
