DNUI Holds Graduation Ceremony of 2015

    It is on the refreshing morning of June 24th that DNUI is filled with deep affection of graduates who are ready to embark on their new journey. Small groups of students wearing baccalaureate gowns and trencher caps head for A2-309 lecture hall to attend the graduation ceremony which is one of the most significant ceremonies in their lives.       President of DNUI professor Wen Tao, vice president professor Guo Quan, deputy party secretary professor Ren Hao and financial director Chao Yujun attend the ceremony. Leads and teachers from different departments, some parents of students as well as graduates of 2015 witness this exciting and unforgettable moment. Director of president’s office Wang Weikun preside over this ceremony.  

    “See you, DNUI. We are marching on. See you, DNUI. We are always together." “We Are Always Together", a graduation MV composed by students and teachers of DNUI is put on a live show on the ceremony. The melodious melody, sincere affections and beautiful scenes recall attendant graduates" shared memories in DNUI.       Afterwards, the graduation ceremony of 2015 is declared open officially. Vice president Guo Quan announces the name list of graduates of 2015 and the decision of degree granting. According to related regulations, 3603 students are examined morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically. 3528 students are awarded with graduation certificates and 2516 undergraduates are awarded with bachelor degrees. President Wen awards graduate representatives degrees. School leaders award graduation certificates to graduate representatives.       Many students who are excellent both in character and learning stand out among graduates of 2015. Financial director Chao Yujun announces the decision of honoring excellent graduates of 2015 on the ceremony. 70 students earn the title of excellent graduates of DNUI.       Deputy party secretary Ren Hao announces the brief of honoring DNUI graduates of 2015 who earn titles of excellent graduates of Liaoning province and Dalian city. 72 graduates earn the title of excellent graduates of Liaoning province in 2015. 73 graduates are awarded with the title of excellent graduates of Dalian city in 2015. School leaders award honor certificates to graduates who earn different levels of titles.       On behalf of graduates of 2015, Li Hanjia from department of computer science and technology gives a speech on the ceremony. He recalls the sweet memories in DNUI and expresses his profound affection to DNUI. He says," The DNUI spirit of starting from zero and resetting yourself always encourages students who have dreams and to push forward and never give up.  

    On behalf of parents of students, Yang Baihan"s (a graduate from department of information technology and business administration) mother gives a speech. She stresses graduates should show their gratitude to their school and teachers and dare to overcome difficulties in the new journey and be responsible and useful people.       On behalf of teachers, the teacher Song Wenbin from department of electronic and engineering reminds graduates the most precious and profound knowledge in the world are spiritual comprehension as well as the wisdom and ability of obtaining happiness. He hopes graduates should be independent, objective, persistent, generous, self-reflective and responsible. He also encourages graduates to make best use of various ideas, voices and experiences to enrich their spiritual world and be conscionable and righteous people.  

    President of DNUI Wen Tao delivers a speech on the ceremony. He hopes graduates of 2015 should adhere to the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship and seize the development opportunity in the era of internet plus and new economy featuring cooperation and sharing. President Wen Tao stresses three key words in his speech, including innovation, integration and initiative. He tells graduates curiosity is the prime element when it comes to innovation and being curious and inquisitive is a good habit that benefits them in their whole lives. Graduates are expected to build a positive mental attitude and learn to be inclusive so as to accept different opinions and new challenges, which will broaden their horizons and enrich their spiritual world. President Wen tells graduates should never be afraid of failures and encourages graduates to take actions to prove themselves bravely and pursue higher realms of life vigorously through consistent self-challenging and self-improvement.
