On May 15, the delegation led by Mr. Sarah Barnouw, the first Vice President of the Russian Pacific National University, came to visit our school. President Wen Tao met with the delegation. The two parties had a deeper understanding and consensus on the conduct of joint education and other issues through talks.
At the talks, President Wen Tao made a presentation on the international cooperation in education with other schools. He also made a summary on the cooperation between the two universities in the past, and expressed his high expectations for future cooperation. President Wen Tao said that there existed distinct differences in languages, cultures, arts, modes of education, and techniques, etc. between Russia and China. Therefore, extensive academic exchanges should be carried out for mutual benefit. Further cooperation on the dual degree program should also be fulfilled. The short-term training program should be gradually changed into long-term education. Talents should not only be nurtured for their language proficiency, but also for techniques to become a “double talent”.
Mr. Sarah Barnouw, the first Vice President of the Russian Pacific National University, expressed that he has visited our school four years ago.
