From June 8th to 15th, President Wen Tao and his team visited FUKUOKA University, Kyoto Sangyo University, Ritsumeikan University, and then they attended Global University Leaders Forum (IAUP), which was held in Yokohama. This visit not only improved the reputation of our university, but also enhanced our previous understanding to a number of presidents of universities in the world, establishing a stable basis for further communication.
During the visit to FUKUOKA University, our University’s visiting mission had specific negotiations with its president, Mr. Etō, and they preliminarily set up the way of communication between two universities. In the future, DNUI would send students to FUKUOKA University for both long and short-term study and would also select outstanding students to study there for master’s degree. As the overseas practice base of our University, FUKUOKA University would provide internship and working opportunities in Japan for our outstanding students by offering language and technology training. At the same time, the Chinese major graduates from FUKUOKA University were also able to come to our University for long and short term overseas study.
Then, the visiting mission came to Kyoto Sangyo University and had a friendly communication with the President Fujioka. They reached a consensus about long and short term overseas study, and overseas practical training as well as Sakura Science and Technology Plan.
When visiting Ritsumeikan University, our visiting mission had a friendly communication with its President Assistant Okubo and the leader of its Information Technology School. The both sides planned: DNUI would select excellent students to Ritsumeikan University for overseas study and master’s degree, and Ritsumeikan University would also send students to DNII for overseas practice training; both sides would also send teachers for mutual communication and study.
After attending the IAUP held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province in 2013, DNII had become an official member of IAUP. 2014 IAUP was held in Yokohama, Japan, and about 200 universities from all over the world were present. At the conference, DNII set up preliminary communication with many universities from a number of countries, building a good basis for development of our University’s internationalization.
