Recently, Prof. Men Lili, Deputy Director of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Department at The First Hospital of Dalian Medical University, visited DNUI with her team to discuss industry-academia-research collaboration in chronic disease intelligent management and medical AI. Vice President Li Yingqiu attended the meeting. After in-depth discussions, both parties reached preliminary cooperation agreements. Moving forward, they will jointly research AI-powered metabolic disease risk assessment systems and explore intelligent upgrades for the MMC (National Metabolic Management Center) model. This initiative will also advance DNUI’s "Medicine-Engineering Interdisciplinary" talent development.
Li Yingqiu stated that DNUI and the hospital’s endocrinology team can integrate their technical and academic strengths to achieve breakthroughs in healthcare innovation through deep medicine-engineering collaboration. She looks forward to expanding cooperation in talent co-cultivation and research commercialization, contributing to the "Healthy China" initiative.
Prof. Men Lili emphasized that close collaboration between medical institutions and IT teams will drive breakthroughs in multi-modal data integration and personalized interventions, revolutionizing metabolic disease management and precision medicine.
At the meeting, Prof. Men shared MMC development experiences and showcased AI innovations in chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes). Kang Ling, Director of the Research Institute, and Zhang Lirong from the School of Digital Art and Design presented DNUI’s health-related research directions and achievements.
