Liu Jiren: Liu Jiren is the founder of the Neusoft Group.In 1980, he graduated from Northeastern Institute of Technology, majored in Computer Application, and received a master's degree in 1982. In 1986, he wentto the National Laboratory of Computer Systems of the National Standard Bureauof the United States to study and returned to China after finishing studies abroad in 1987, becoming the first Doctor who majored in Computer Application and are trained by China. In 1988, he was promoted exceptionally to Professor and Doctoral Tutor by the Northeastern University, becoming one of the youngest professors in China at that time. Over the years, He has trained nearly 70 postdoctoral, doctoral and master graduate students and used to work as Vice Chancellor of Northeastern University for 18 years. Now he is the current Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Neusoft Group, Chairman of Dalian Neusoft Holdings, Chairman of Dalian Neusoft Software Park Industry DevelopmentCo., Ltd., Chairman of Dalian Neusoft University of Information, Chengdu Neusoft University, and Guangdong Neusoft University. He is also the Directorof the National Engineering Research Center of Computer Software and the Director of the National Digital Medical Imaging Engineering Research Center,Deputy Director of China Software Industry Association, Vice President of the China Internet Association and the Executive Director of China Automation Association. Dr. Liu Jiren is also a member of the Global Growth Companies Advisory Committee of the World Economic Forum and the Emerging Multinational Corporation Agenda Council and has been a member of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) APEC Business Advisory Council for many years.
In 1991, Dr. Liu Jiren founded Neusoft and the Computer Network Engineering Research Office of Northeastern University started abusiness from three people, three personal computers and 30 thousand RMB research funds. In 1996, Neusoft became the first listed software company in China and Dr. Liu led Neusoft to create a series of China's first records.Today, Neusoft has become China's largest IT solution and service provider. Atpresent, the company has more than 20,000 employees. It has established 10software R&D bases in China, eight regional headquarters, 16 software development and technical support centers, and a marketing and service networkin more than 60 cities, and has set up subsidiaries in the United States,Japan, Europe, Middle East and South America.
Dr. Liu Jiren has been awarded "National Advanced Workers","National Excellent Science and Technology Workers", "NationalMay 1st Labor Medal", "the Achievement Award of Returnees","Advanced Individuals of the National 863 Plan", "Advanced Workers of the National Engineering Research Center", "Outstanding Chinese Socialistic Builder", "National Education Department Labor Model" , "He Liang and He Li Fund Science and Technology Innovation Award", "2010 China Computer Society Wang Xuan Award", "China Software Outstanding Contribution Award", and other honors; As the Chief Executive of the project and the executive director, hesuccessively undertook the National Key Technologies R & D Program of Chinaduring the 8th and 9th Five-Year Plan Period, the National TorchProgram, the National 863 Plan, National Natural Science Foundation's keyprojects, National Technical Development Projects and so on.
