There are departments in School of Intelligence and Electronic Engineering, including Department of Intelligence Science and Technology, Department of Electronic Information Engineering, Department of Integrated Circuit Design and Integration System, Department of Telecommunication Engineering and Department of Micro-Electronics Science and Engineering. The educational goal of the school is to nurture advanced applied specialists with strong abilities including engineering practice, interdisciplinary background, innovation and self-study. Additionally, students will have international vision, better humanistic accomplishments and social responsibility.
The school adapts to new engineering model: engineering + new technology and engineering + new model. Guided by TOPCARES, closely following the trend of digital and information technology involving big data, artificial intelligence, robot, mobile internet and cloud computing， the school has been updating the curriculum and practice system. Five projects have approved by the Ministry of Education in an industry-university cooperation to nurture talent. In 2018, "Research on the Construction of Engineering Practice Education System and Practice Platform for Programs Integration in the Field of Intelligent Manufacturing" was approved by the Ministry of Education to be a formal project of new engineering research and practice.
