On April 25, 2020, the North Division of the 7th "Siglent Cup" National Competition of College Experimental Teaching Case Design for Electrical and Electronic Foundation Course was held online as scheduled by the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Education. 134 teams from 37 universities participated, including Dalian University of Technology, Northeastern University and Harbin Institute of Technology. 4 teams from the DNUI Research & Training Center, the School of Intelligence & Electronic Engineering and the School of Computer & Software took part in the competition. After intensive preparation and online defense, they finally won 1 second prize and 2 third prizes in the North Division.
The competition aims to guide students to learn independently, investigate and master relevant knowledge, methods and skills through experimental task requirements, teaching methods and teaching design. Students are expected to further apply knowledge to engineering practice and conduct research with a comprehensive approach. Advanced concepts, contents, techniques and methods in experimental teaching are displayed in the selection of excellent experimental cases. It is also aimed at promoting the student-oriented and inquiry-based experimental teaching reform, and improving the experimental teaching level of college teachers.
All projects in this competition have been appraised in experimental teaching. The award-winning ones are the outcome of DNUI’s Blended Education Reform, demonstrating the level of practical teaching project design and teaching implementation.
