On March 14, Betskov Igor, the academician of the Ministry of Nanotechnology and Information Technology of the Russian National Academy of Sciences and the president of Irkutsk National University, and his party visited DNUI. Principal of Irkutsk State University (Russia) Visited DNUI
President Wen Tao introduced to Principal Betskov the development process of Neusoft's education and science and technology industry, the cooperation between industry, education and research, the development and application of information platform, IT services, digital health care, health management, and the supporting educational layout, professional clusters, enrollment and employment. President Betskov expressed his appreciation for the achievements made in the 19 years since the founding of our university and introduced the Russian national information development strategy. The two parties reached cooperation intentions on education, scientific research, research and development of education industry, information technology and digital medical treatment.
It is reported that Irkutsk State University is one of the most influential universities of higher learning in Siberia and the Far East Pacific region. It was founded in 1918. At present, Irkutsk State University is directly under the Ministry of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, one of the 10 best universities in Russia and a member of the International Federation of Universities. The university consists of 8 colleges, 10 professional departments and 10 scientific research institutes. There are more than 14,500 students, including 770 foreign students from 23 countries and 1,155 teachers, among whom 120 have doctor degrees and professor titles, 625 have associate professor titles; 3 are honorary scientists of Russian Federation and 2 honorary teachers of Russian Federation.
