The School of Foreign Languages has fourundergraduate majors: Japanese, Business English, English and Russian. It aimsto cultivate practice-oriented and interdisciplinary foreign language talentswith good sense of social responsibility, foreign language application ability,intercultural communication ability, business practice ability, criticalthinking ability and innovative spirit. Nearly 2000 students are currently inschool, and nearly 4800 graduates have been sent to the society. In the processof talent cultivation, the school combines TOPCARES talent training mode withthe characteristics of foreign language disciplines, constructs aProject-Driven curriculum system, and implements the integration ofprofessional education, innovation and entrepreneurship education and qualityeducation. In recent years, the quality of teaching and employment has beencontinuously improved, and graduates’ solid language foundation and outstandingprofessional ability have been widely recognized and highly evaluated byenterprises and society. English and Japanese majors ranked sixth (2012) andninth (2013) in the first round of comprehensive evaluation of undergraduatemajors respectively in Liaoning Province.
